Christine Watson

Hi, I’m Christine! I’m the Director and Senior Occupational Therapist at Wide Bay Therapy. I’m passionate about helping people achieve their goals and improve their lives — being part of that journey is truly fulfilling for me. I aim to provide exceptional service to our community and nearby rural areas, ensuring every client feels valued and heard.
With a wide range of clinical and management experiences, I have established and grown a service that provides quality client-centred care tailored to the individual's needs. I possess a solid foundation of skills and qualities that have been developed over the past 20 years working in the field, in both the public and private sectors.

Areas of specialty and interest include chronic pain, complex home modifications, access and environmental assessment, assistive technology, hand therapy, rehabilitation, autism spectrum disorder, driving assessments, and vehicle modifications.
Outside of work, I enjoying going to the gym, sharing good meals with friends, and travelling with my family. My favourite holiday destination is Broome, and outback QLD.

Hi, I’m Karyn! I’m the Practice Manager at Wide Bay Therapy, where I lead the Client Engagement team and coordinate our efforts to provide the best support possible.
Being in an environment dedicated to helping people is truly fulfilling for me.
I aim to create a welcoming, friendly, and calm space at the clinic so you always feel comfortable and at home when you visit Wide Bay Therapy.

Having the opportunity to lead with kindness and work alongside a team of incredibly dedicated individuals who all take immense pride in their work is something I value highly. I love being able to support our therapists, helping them to focus on what they do best: providing exceptional care to our clients.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family on our small acreage property. My favourite holiday destination is Queenstown, New Zealand, but I’m eager to explore more of Australia, especially Uluru, in the future.

Throughout the final year of my studies, I worked at Wide Bay Therapy as an OT Assistant. Once I graduated, it was a seamless transition into the role of Occupational Therapist.
I love that every workday is different and filled with opportunities to learn something new. My amazing colleagues create a fun and supportive work environment, making it a joy to collaborate with incredible individuals as we help our clients on their journeys toward achieving their goals.Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, and expressing my creativity through playing guitar and painting. I’ve balanced my university studies by working at different cafes and running coffee courses. My favourite holiday destination has been a recent trip to Italy, where I soaked in the culture and breathtaking coastal landscapes.
At Wide Bay Therapy, I love bringing creativity into my sessions, making them fun and engaging for clients. I appreciate the diverse backgrounds and stories of the people I work with, and I look forward to making a difference in their lives.

Hi, I’m Shar! I’m an Occupational Therapist at Wide Bay Therapy, where I thrive on combining meaningful work, creative problem-solving, and building relationships with families by understanding their unique stories.

I’m proud to empower people to overcome challenges and feel more confident as they work toward their personal goals.
I love being outdoors, whether it’s enjoying a day at the beach, exploring national parks, or spending quality time with friends and family. For quick getaways, I love heading to Noosa North Shore or Rainbow Beach. I’m also looking forward to a trip to Japan in 2025 with my husband.
My specialty interest is psychosocial mental health, where I help individuals manage challenges and promote independence, well-being, and participation in everyday activities. I focus on developing coping strategies, life skills, and community reintegration.
I genuinely love coming to work at Wide Bay Therapy. The space is beautiful, we have excellent resources, and the team is friendly and supportive. Born in New Zealand with Māori heritage, I believe my diverse background enhances my empathy, adaptability, and cultural awareness in my practice as an occupational therapist.

Hi, I’m Tatiana! I’m an Early Intervention Specialist Educator at Wide Bay Therapy, and my passion is working with young children. Supporting their learning through play is incredibly rewarding.

I am driven to help children and their families find strategies that enable them to thrive. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, and going camping. I have a soft spot for animals and share my home with dogs, chickens, sheep, goats, and a horse. One of my dream trips is to go on a safari in Africa!
As a Senior Teacher, I have experience working with young students with special needs in mainstream schooling. I pride myself on being patient and caring, aiming to help children understand and flourish in their daily lives. I love being part of the team at Wide Bay Therapy, where we’re all focused on meeting the needs of our clients and their families.

The variety of work and challenges keep me learning and growing, and I enjoy forming personal connections by listening to the stories and life experiences of those I work with.
I’m particularly proud of creating engaging sessions and activities for children in therapy, helping them build their skills. I’m excited to complete my degree and become a full-fledged OT.
In my spare time, I stay active by hiking, spending time in nature, and hitting the beach. I also enjoy reading and watching movies. I dream of travelling through Europe to explore different cultures and histories. I appreciate being part of the dynamic team at Wide Bay Therapy, where everyone supports each other and shares different perspectives, allowing me to continually improve my skills and knowledge in the field.

Hi, I’m Emily! I am returning to my role as occupational therapist, after being on maternity leave. While I continue to juggle Mum life, I will be working to cover the other occupational therapists at Wide Bay Therapy while they are on leave.

Hi, I'm Bridgette, an occupational therapist who has recently joined the Wide Bay Therapy team.

My journey in occupational therapy has taken me through both acute inpatient care and community settings, which has given me a broad range of knowledge that I bring to my current role. I enjoy working with people from all stages and walks of life. Beyond making sure my clients get the therapy, aids or modifications they need, I prioritise ensuring each person feels heard, understood and supported.
When I'm not at work, I'm a busy mum who loves getting outdoors. You'll often find us camping or heading to the beach, soaking up all this lovely area has to offer!

In my spare time, you’ll find me reading, enjoying pilates, or relaxing at the beach on the weekends. My favourite holiday spots so far are the Philippines and Bali, but I dream of exploring the northern parts of Europe someday.
